A high magnification lens option in the BIO lens range, the 14D has a field of view that spans the posterior pole (macula+ optic disc) and is an ideal choice for high detail and specific to central retinal examination such as glaucoma screening than for general diagnosis.  With a single aspheric surface design, the 14D is a popular standard of training for high magnification BIO examination. Another popular choice for macular examination is the Volk 15 D lens that is available in a double aspheric design.
